Police issue statement following raid on CP Vintage store in Cleethorpes
Humberside Police have issued a statement following the raid at the CP Vintage store on Cambridge Street in Cleethorpes yesterday.
At around midday yesterday (Wednesday 20 October), a team of police officers executed the raid and seized a number of items from a retail unit and a flat.
This comes as part of a major operation by the police force to tackle drug dealing in the area.
Three men in their thirties were arrested for offences including suspicion of money laundering, suspicion of supplying controlled drugs and suspicion of possession of class B and C drugs.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said yesterday: “Officers executed a warrant at an address in the Sea View Street, Cleethorpes, area following information disclosed to us by members of the community.
“A quantity of suspected drugs have been recovered as a result of this search and we’d like to thank the members of the public that came forward with the information. Three men, aged 30, 30 and 32, are currently under arrest on suspicion of a range of offences. These are as follows:
- One man, aged 30, on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs and money laundering
- One man, aged 32, on suspicion of money laundering
- One man, aged 30, on suspicion of possession of class B/C drugs and money laundering
“All three men remain in custody as the investigation continues.
“As a result of today’s action, there will be an increased police presence in the area to reassure the community and to remind people that suspected criminal activity in our communities will not be tolerated.
