Every week a popular children’s author or illustrator will provide free e-books, exclusive videos and their top three recommended reads.
The Virtual School Library has teamed up with the National Literacy Trust as part of Oak National Academy to ensure children across the country have access to book. This aims to ensure that all children have access to the magical world of stories all year round, whether they are learning at school or at home.
The National Literacy Trust are an independent charity working with schools and communities to give disadvantaged children the literacy skills to succeed in life.
It is hoped that the books will help enhance literacy skills, academic achievements and mental wellbeing while schools are shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
