Dewey Group have an exciting opportunity with a Global Ground Engineering client. We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS to join our clients established team. Reporting to the regional manager you will have responsibility for the quantity surveying, contractual and commercial support, within the South West & South East.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience within the construction/civil engineering industry, with a high level of financial/numeracy skills.
You will need a good attention to detail and a sound working knowledge and experience of; different forms of contracts, contract law, dispute resolution and litigation, claim management, commercial management, insurance requirements in the construction industry and the key elements of corporate and construction legislation.
In addition, successful candidates will need to be fully conversant with Standard Methods of Measurement and Rules of Valuations.
The successful candidate will be supported by an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Therefore they will need to demonstrate managerial skills to motivate, performance manage, in addition to developing the team as it expands to meet the needs of the business.
Due to the nature of the role, individuals will require a full driving licence and the flexibility and confidence to travel to off-site meetings as required, with the possibility of occasional nights away from home.
