My client, a well-known Trading organisation, is seeking a Non-Functional QA Analyst to join their growing team in the City of London on a contract basis. This is an exciting time to join as the organisation is currently undergoing a transformation including the build of a new trading platform.
Role:
You will be working on multiple projects as part of a well-established QA team to test all non-functional aspects of the organisation’s various IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in developing performance test scripts, good technical knowledge and understanding of all non-functional aspects of IT systems. Central to the role is the development of test scripts, execution of performance test and fail-over tests through the development life cycle.
The following are essential:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Performance, Failover & Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT)
- Experience in monitoring/testing C++ based applications
- Experience with Active to Hot Standby Failover
- Good understanding of monitoring Linux resource usage with Linux tools
- Understanding of Kernel/hardware performance tuning
- Ability to build tools/scripts for analysing logs and results
- Ideally, an understanding of testing/monitoring high throughput and low latency (at less than 100 microseconds) (highly desirable)
The following is desirable:
- Experience of using JMeter as a Performance Testing tool
- Knowledge of the terminology used within a Trading House and how it works
- Knowledge of Market Data products
Daily Rate: £550++
