Royal Mail Christmas parcel scam.

Royal Mail Christmas parcel scam.

Shoppers are being warned over a Royal Mail Christmas parcel scam which could empty your bank account. The suspicious text informs people they have a package to be collected and asks them to click a link to do so.

But when they click the link it takes them to a website that has a Currys/PC World heading. It claims that they have won an i Phone11 pro. They claim it will be delivered soon but only if they hand over their personal details and pay a fee,

The message says There is an item waiting to be collected. You took one of the spots on our Curry’s XMAS-List. Your i Phone will be delivered within five working days. Please confirm your delivery address and pay a small fee of £2.00 for insured shipping.

Royal Mail is aware of the scam and has warned customers not to click on any links in the text message or email. You can view Royal Mail’s advice on their website.
