By Samuel Buckley died during a visit to a psychiatric unit, after his girlfriend smuggled drugs in for him.
Victoria Bateman, 28, initially refused Mr Buckley’s requests for her to bring him the street drug known as ‘Spice’ but eventually gave in and smuggled the drugs in to hospital for him. He died just a short time after.
In May this year, Ms Bateman pleaded guilty to supplying the Class B drug and was sentenced to a Community Order for two years and also ordered to undertake 80 hours of unpaid work.
An inquest into his death will see over 20 witnesses called to give evidence and is expected to last 5 days.
A date for the inquest has not yet been set.
