Drink driver had large machete down his shorts.
Adam Banks 39 0f Pelham Road Immingham was tackled by armed response police when a worried member of the public raised the alarm. He had hidden a big machete down his shorts.
It is thought that he was hoping to sell the machete to a friend so he could raise some cash. And he had concealed it so attention wasn’t drawn to it.
Adam Banks admitted possessing a machete in public and drink driving on October 5th. He had also been convicted for drink driving in 2002-2012 for drink driving. He was given a three-month suspended prison sentence six months of alcohol treatment, 10 days rehabilitation and was banned from driving for three years.
He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a Government imposed £21 victims surcharge.
